Makin' Macon Fit has always emphasized kids and fitness. This was one of the Fitness Council's guiding principles when they originally started the event in 1994. The emphasis on children still remains the same today.
KIDS' FUN RUN: This event is run as a race. Kids are divided into age groups and see who can complete a ΒΌ mile run the fastest. The run is held on the Macon County High School track which is next to the other events. Parents can watch the entire event! Everyone gets a prize, but the fastest boy and girl in each grade get a trophy.
